OUR PROGRAM
Our school lesson program teaches the correct basics of both riding and horsemanship, with an emphasis on preparing for future competition participation and horse ownership. Open to beginner through intermediate riders of all ages, we help our students develop fundamental skills in a safe yet fun environment.
We have several kind, experienced, and easy-going horses available to use for school lessons. Horses and ponies are carefully matched to suit the needs and abilities of each individual student.
Lessons are private or semi-private, which allows students the maximum amount of ride time and devoted attention from the instructor. Riders in the program also assist in taking care of their horses before and after their ride in order to develop an understanding of everything that goes into daily horse care and management.
Students in the school program are encouraged to attend several of the local MTHJA-recognized shows offered in our area to get an introduction to the competitive environment of horse shows on a smaller scale. Our school horses are all horse show veterans with years of wisdom to give riders a positive first show experience.
